When was the last time you saw one of these in a company parking lot?

Earlier this week, the Barracuda Racing crew, along with driver JR Hildebrand and the No. 98 car, were at our Cypress Center to raise awareness about the issue of hunger in Silicon Valley.

Despite the improving economy, the number of local families and individuals who need food assistance continues to rise. We provide food to more than 250,000 people each month in our two-county region – that’s one in 10 residents.

Headquartered in the Bay Area, Barracuda Networks is a supporter of Second Harvest Food Bank and the primary sponsor of the No. 98 car in the IZOD IndyCar Series. For this year’s Food and Fund Drive, Barracuda CEO BJ Jenkins will be a co-chair, along with Dan Campbell, COO for Backup and Recovery Systems at EMC Corporation.

In town for the upcoming GoPro Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma at Sonoma Raceway, the Barracuda Racing crew did a pit crew demonstration, showing us how amazingly fast and efficient they are – check out our clip on Instagram.

Some of us even got autographs from and photographs with Hildebrand, a Bay Area native.

That same morning, volunteer groups from Barracuda Networks and EMC helped out in the warehouse.

All in all, it was an exciting way to start the day and we always appreciate the opportunity to shine a light on local hunger.

Thanks to everyone who participated!
